The
Short Range Certificate is the qualification required by law if you
operate a VHF radio fitted with Digital Selective Calling (DSC) on any
British vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio.
At Surrey Sailing we ensure all students
get plenty of hands
on practice
with real VHF DSC radios instead of computer simulators, making sure
that everyone has fun and leaves with the knowledge and confidence to
use a VHF radio
for real.
We
also
give each student a free
copy of the RYA VHF
Radio (inc GMDSS) book to help you during the course and
also to refresh your memory in the future.
